“Can we keep the original display?”

This is a question we’ve been hearing more often in Touch Film projects.

Many OEMs already have their own displays built into machines, kiosks, control panels or digital signage. The display works well — they just want to add touch.

Replacing the whole display is possible, but it can also mean changing the existing structure, design or electronics.

That’s where Touch Film can make sense.

Instead of replacing the original display, a touch film can be added to give it touch functionality while keeping the existing screen.

We often get questions such as:

• Can our existing display be used?
• Can the film match our screen size?
• Will it affect the image quality?
• What about curved or open-frame displays?

For us, this is an interesting shift.

Customers are not always looking for a new touchscreen anymore. Sometimes, they simply want to make the display they already have interactive.

That makes Touch Film an interesting option for OEM products, industrial equipment, interactive displays and retrofit projects.

Sometimes the best touch solution is not replacing the display — it’s keeping it.
